Episode 14 - Peace at the Lord's Table

ree

  • Loving Others Well looks at how our worship and community life reveal the truth about our love. In 1 Corinthians 11, Paul confronts believers who celebrate the Lord’s Supper while ignoring the needs and dignity of others. Their gatherings exposed division, pride, and neglect instead of unity and love. This episode explores how honoring Christ means honoring people—especially the overlooked, the poor, and the marginalized. Loving others well isn’t just about words or rituals, but making room at the table for everyone Christ has welcomed.

Episode 13 - Hope for this Christmas

Today, we are not just looking at ancient meals. We are learning how to navigate a culture filled with distractions and how to hold onto the kind of hope that lasts beyond the 25th of December. In 1 Corinthians 8 and 10, Paul exposes how knowledge without love can wound others, and how divided loyalty dishonors the Lord. You can’t “drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons,” he warns, because idolatry isn’t just about statues—it’s anything we elevate above God. This episode invites listeners to examine modern idols of comfort, status, culture, and self, and to return to a love that is loyal, undivided, and rooted in Christ.

  • 1 Corintians 8:1-13, 10:21

Episode 12 - Love and Money

Love and Money explores how generosity is an expression of love, not obligation. In 2 Corinthians 9, Paul reminds the church that giving is not about pressure or performance but about participating in God’s grace. He describes generosity as a seed that produces thanksgiving, unity, and blessing. This episode looks at how love transforms the way we handle resources—shifting us from reluctance to readiness, from self-preservation to trust. When we give freely, we reflect the God who “loves a cheerful giver” and who first gave everything to us.

Scripture:

  • 2 Corinthians 9:1-15

Episode 11 - Marriage & Singleness

ree

This episode explores how love is expressed through both marriage and singleness, drawing from Paul’s guidance in 1 Corinthians 7. Rather than ranking one above the other,

Paul shows that both are sacred callings where love, devotion, and faithfulness to God can flourish. We'll talk about how commitment, contentment, and purpose look in each season of life—and how everyday love is not limited by relationship status, but empowered by surrender to Christ.

Scripture:

  • 1 Corinthians 7: 1-40

  Episode 10 - Holy Bodies

ree

Holy Bodies looks at how our physical lives reflect our spiritual identity. In 1 Corinthians 5–6, Paul challenges the church to honor God with their bodies in a culture of compromise and confusion. He reminds believers that they are temples of the Holy Spirit—bought with a price and set apart for God’s purposes. This episode explores what it means to live with integrity, resist cultural pressure, and embody holiness in everyday choices, relationships, and desires.

Scripture:

  • 1 Corinthians 5 -6
